HaslerRail AG continues Bern's more than 135-year tradition in the field of railway technology. We are a leader in the development and manufacturing of electrical equipment for public transport.
The name Hasler is synonymous worldwide with Swiss quality in the railway sector and is well anchored in it. HaslerRail is looking for a dynamic and motivated Area Sales Manager for our Site in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
In an international environment, you will lead the sales activities during the offer and negotiation phase, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop competitive proposals for customer-specific railway equipment. After contract signing, you will ensure a smooth handover to project management and remain the primary customer interface throughout the execution phase. You will be accountable for driving customer satisfaction, commercial success, and long-term relationships, thereby contributing significantly to business growth.
Requirements:
Main tasks:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international railway markets to achieve sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners in the railway industry to foster long-term business growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape specific to the railway sector.
• Create and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and increase market share in the railway industry.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure our offerings meet the needs of international clients.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, showcasing our railway solutions and services.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company while ensuring client satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on progress and market insights.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, promote our brand, and stay updated on industry developments.
• Support Sales Team Leader and Director of Sales & Marketing regarding budget and strategy whenever needed
• Support the Project Team during the project execution phase
Requirements
Education
Our ideal candidate
• Holds an engineering degree (Only - Electrical/Electronic engineering or similar)
• Proven experience in sales and business development within the railway industry or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of global railway markets, technologies, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
• English native speaker or at least C1
Experience:
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in core sales in the Railway domain
