Area Maintenance Engineer

The purpose of the Area Maintenance Engineer is to to ensure equipment availability and reliability of a production unit in the St. Gabriel plant. Maintain assigned  unit in good operating condition (mechanical, electrical & instrumentation areas), with help of internal and external resources within budget constraints. Establish good communication with customers, and control expenses. Implement improvement measures, be responsible for small capital disbursements, participate & support plant wide safety and environmental initiatives.

• Mechanical integrity of the unit/plant
• Maintain a safe & environmentally sound working environment (aid to continuously improve it
• Operate within alloted budget
• Initiate and control capitalizations
• Be customer-focused without losing track of business needs.
• Continuously improve working processes
•  Equipment reliability improvements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; experience in related field is a plus
• Previous plant expereience desired but not required.
