Job Description

AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Residential Architectural Drafter to support the design and documentation of custom single-family homes in Ventura County, California. This role focuses on producing high-quality architectural drawings for ground-up construction and residential remodel projects.

The ideal candidate has experience preparing residential construction documents and is proficient in Revit and AutoCAD. This position works closely with architects and project teams to translate design concepts into detailed, buildable plans for high-end residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents for custom single-family homes
• Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
• Support design development and documentation for ground-up residential projects and remodels
• Coordinate drawings with architects and project teams to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Revise drawings based on project feedback, client changes, and design updates
• Ensure drawings meet local building codes and residential construction standards
• Maintain organized project files and drawing documentation
• Assist with permit sets and construction documentation packages
• Collaborate with internal design staff to maintain consistency across project deliverables

Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in architectural drafting within residential design
• Experience working on custom or high-end residential projects
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of residential construction drawings and documentation
• Ability to interpret architectural concepts and translate them into technical drawings
• Familiarity with residential building codes and permitting processes
• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple drawing updates and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting luxury or high-end residential architecture firms
