Full job description
Position Title: Arborist Manager
Main Functions: Obtain jobs for the Arborist division and oversee work being done by employees within department
Reports to: Owner, Operations Manager
Duties:
Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases
Meet customers daily and provide bids and estimates for any jobs pertaining to tree work
Promote sales to existing clients
Identify and solicit potential clients
Supervise and co-ordinate the activities and duties of the tree crew laborers and arborists/tree crew foreman’s
Oversee training of workers in job duties and company policies
Enforce safety standards and implement disciplinary action upon uncooperative employees
Set annual financial targets for department
Review each job for quality of work and profitability
Monitor department spending and equipment purchasing
Work with landscape project manager at times to coordinate jobs being done on same site
Develop and implement marketing plans
Measure success of various marketing strategies
Resolve work related problems within division
Employment Requirements:
Hold an ISA Certified Arborist Certificate or be equally as knowledgeable
Strong ability to sell
Professional attitude towards staff and customers
Capable of balancing multiple tasks
Understanding of budgeting and cost analysis
Strong communication skills
Previous work experience with trees
Job Type: Full-time / Seasonal (year round work available, discuss with Interviewer)
Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
