Apps DBA+OCI Admin

This position is for and OCI architect and On-Premise to OCI migration expert with Oracle ERP Apps Support role for day-to-day activities and integrations with sub-systems in the financial space with 8 to 15 years of experience in similar role/capacity. Securing systems with regular vulnerability patching and upkeep of ERP systems. His/her function is critical to the performance and stability of IT infrastructure hosting business critical application..

Responsibility

• Define the design and implementation of new technologies or software version upgrades to the highest level of quality
• Foster the talents of other team members thereby improving the team’s overall effectiveness.
• Partner across the organization to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of systems to support key business applications and DR activities. Reduce risk through end-of-server-life upgrades and reduce costs through ongoing consolidation and AWS / Azure cloud initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Education Degree in Computer Engineering field or related
• Experience Typically 6 to 8 years of experience With Oracle EBS, WebLogic Middleware and Single Sign On Administration

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

• Proven experience in migrating on-premises Oracle EBS 12.2 and Oracle Database 19c (Solaris) to OCI.
• In-depth knowledge of OCI services, including Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, Networking, Oracle Cloud Autonomous Services, and others relevant to EBS infrastructure.
• Expertise in managing and administering Oracle EBS in a cloud environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with backup, recovery, patching, and cloning of Oracle EBS and databases in OCI.
• Familiarity with Oracle database security, auditing, and monitoring practices.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or OCI-specific automation capabilities.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EBS and database environments in OCI.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Full Understanding of the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 architecture and processes with their individual configuration files & log files to trouble shoot issues with each component.
• Hands on experience in Maintenance and Configuration of E-business R12 environment.
• Troubleshooting, Monitoring, Performance tuning of E-business Application Servers and services.
• Hands on experience in supporting EBS Financial Modules like AP, AR and GL Products.
• Sound Knowledge on troubleshooting issues related to Apache, oacore, oafm, oc4j, Forms services and apps login through SSO.
• Expertise in Application Cloning using Rapid Clone Utility/manual cloning and troubleshooting post clone issues
• Cloning Oracle E-Business Suite Application from Prod to Non-Prod, Multi Node to Multi Node, Multi Node to single node and adding additional Application nodes."
• Configure and manage Parallel Concurrent Processing.
• Configure PGP Encryption, SSH Keys exchange for File transfers and Bank interfaces.
• Hands on experience in configuring and supporting EBS Multi-node architecture for High availability.
• Configuration of Workflow Mailers and Troubleshooting workflow notification mailer issues.
• Hands on experience in WebLogic Installation and configuration, Administration and Performance tuning.
• Configuration and monitoring EBS Application through OEM.
• Enabling SSL or TLS in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and import the security certificates.
• Performing Oracle Application Pre-patch analysis (Using Patch Wizard in Oracle Applications Manager), Pre-config Analysis for Quarterly PSU and other required patches.
• Applying Oracle E-Business Suite Application patches (PSU, One-off, Mini Pack, Family Pack) using adpatch options.
• Proficient in Administration and management of Oracle E-Business suite using AD and FND utilities that include adadmin, adconfig, adpatch, adlicmgr, adsplice, adident, adctrl, adsplice, FNDCPASS, FNDLOAD, FRMCMP etc.
• Monitoring the Concurrent Managers and its operations like starting, stopping the concurrent managers, re-schedule the requests, purging the concurrent requests historical data.
• Tuning of concurrent managers and monitoring of the concurrent manager operations."
• Involve in automation of jobs through Shell scripts and schedule them using Crontab and Autosys to run at regular intervals.
