Position Summary
This role is responsible for learning and developing drafting skills in remedial drafting activities, and to provide general office support by assisting with ad-hoc administration or office tasks.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
To learn remedial drafting skills.
To learn and develop the ability to listen, collaborate, think and deliver results.
To be sponsored through Engineering drafting at TAFE.
Learn AutoCAD and Revit software.
Attend and be involved in drafting meetings.
Project drawing and document control.
Development and maintenance of Project Drawing Transmittal.
Assisting in general office duties including banking, filing and answering phones when required.
Develop time management skills.
Develop and understanding of how buildings are constructed and the relationship of building elements.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
Successful completion of the Higher School Certificate.
Strong focus on Math and Science;
Architectural background.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Good computer knowledge: excel, outlook, word.
Participation in sport and team activities.
The ability to listen and collaborate;
Analytic thinking skills;
Effective management of time and self;
Providing administrative support and backup to other staff members;
Ability to meet deadlines and keep a daily time sheet;
Attention to detail.
