All Service Drilling, a respected leader in geotechnical and environmental drilling services, is seeking a motivated 2nd‑year or higher Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic to support our Leduc operations.

This role is best suited for a self‑starter who has hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting ability, and is comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities
Disassemble and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel and exhaust systems, breaks, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical systems and lubrication systems
Inspect and test to detect faults and malfunctions in drill units, diesel compressors, hydraulic support equipment, high pressure water pumps
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance to repairing major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics
Work as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets.
Service attachments and working tools
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture.
Professional Experience / Qualification
Registered Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic, 2nd‑year or higher.
5 + years of hands on experience.
Must be comfortable working independently.
Good mechanical aptitude and strong problem‑solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and make sound decisions.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Registered Apprentice in the Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Heavy Equipment Technician trade
Compensation
$28 to $35/hr based on experience
