Applications Development Scientist ( Very Senior Role )

This is a leadership position which reports to the Chief Commercial Officer

Education/Experience:
Degree  in Polymer/Material Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering,
PH.D Preferred

Minimum 5 years industrial experience in product or application development;
· Demonstrated experience in leading product and applications development, working with global, multifunctional teams;
· Previous work experience in personal care & household care
The individual in this environment often works at a fast pace with minimum to moderate supervision. This position will require considerable traveling (mainly North America and Europe). The individual will be working with resources in other functions, companies (i.e. partners) and locations, and will be expected to lead projects with resources in these areas

• Proven track record of leading applications development
• Ability to write technical papers for publication and presentation at Industry conferences
• Experience and skills in presenting at Industry conferences
• Ability to organize and deliver results, and orchestrate multiple activities in parallel;
• Strong network in Personal & Household Care, to enable fast identification of partners (external labs, experts, universities) to execute applications development work.
• Comfortable with delegating activities, sharing responsibility and trusting others to perform work;
• Capable of work planning, budgeting and managing to comply with tight timeline;
• Is customer-focused; drives to meet expectations of both internal and external customers;
• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written);
• Makes decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment;
• Understands global business diversity and thinks globally.
