JOB OVERVIEW:

The Application Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of business-critical software applications used across the organisation. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and secure access to core operational systems while supporting end-users and internal stakeholders. The position sits within the Tech/Operations department and the successful candidate will be working closely with IT and multiple cross-functional teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Act as the primary support contact, responsible for optimization of system uptime and functionality

Systems Maintenance: manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of business-critical software systems and software applications to ensure peak performance

Monitoring & Optimization: monitor application performance and user access/permissions, apply patches, review system logs, and analyze resource consumption to ensure availability and data integrity.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting: troubleshoot and resolve user issues, investigate root causes of system errors, and liaise with software vendors and internal tech/operations teams for support.

Security & Access Management: manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access control (RBAC), and implement security protocols, to protect sensitive data.

Backup & Disaster Recovery: develop and test backup plans to ensure business continuity in case of system failures.

Documentation & Training: create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, and user guides.

License Management: track and manage software licenses to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Technical skills – profound experience with:

2-5 years of relevant experience in fast-paced environments

VOIP Systems: exclusively but not limited to, Voiso, Voicespin and Coperato

Experience with applications including RiskScreen (KYC360), Customer IO, Trading Central

Experience with Ticketing Systems and live chats integration and managements, exclusively but not limited to, Freshdesk /Freshchat, Intercom

Experience and good understanding of SumSub, ClickUp and Slack will be considered a strong plus

Basic knowledge of operating systems and database structures

Understanding of IT and security principles

University Degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a similar degree will be considered a strong plus

Strong active listening skills and ability to follow directions and protocols

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for user training and support.

Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
