From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through our mahi in health education, access, and monitoring, we are making life-changing differences every day.  
The Application Support role provides advice and assistance to users of the software and responds to problems that can either occur abruptly or after a software implementation that may require immediate analysis and resolution. This position supports the organisation by providing specialist knowledge of our operating systems, devices, applications and software. It also provides technical support to all teams within the organisation and requires interaction with external vendors when required to work through complex application issues. This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity based in Christchurch.
Key Outcomes 
• Provide application support to teams within the organisation, and to external clients when required
• Support the continuous development and improvement of applications 
• Support the maintenance of data/information captured by the applications to ensure the integrity of the data (both in quality and security)
• Identify issues, and risks (actual and potential) to the application and make recommendations 
This role would suit someone comfortable working within a high paced and changing environment and a willingness to develop professionally. Other skills / knowledge requirements include
• Possessing specialist knowledge of operating systems, devices, applications and software
• Intimate knowledge of an organisation’s computing systems and applications
• Ability to explain application issues across all levels of stakeholders
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skill – including ability to explain technical concepts in easy to understand language for non-technicians
• Listening ability and patience
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field preferred (ie. Business Administration, Information Systems, Computing Studies or Information Technology)
