JANA’s Application Specialists install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot JANA’s software products based on client requirements and model calibration. They will identify and analyze I.T. problems and needs for the clients and then develop appropriate solutions. Application Specialists will provide technical support, diagnosing problems, and dealing with software and installation issues. With the ability to adapt their approach to their audience, the Application Specialist interacts with the customers as well as JANA Business Analyst, Quality Assurance and Project Management teams.
Responsibilities
Installs, Configures and Tests JANA’s software products based on client requirements and model calibration
Works with client IT departments to set up integrations between JANA’s software products and client systems
Answers and resolves technical support queries - troubleshoots and provides technical solutions related to software and installation errors
Diagnoses technical problems and recommends engineering solutions
Works with JANA’s product and development teams to understand and plan for new feature deployments
Develops best practices and tools for technical leadership
Develops, implements, and administers databases and data collections
Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion
Supports business analyst to advise client on configuration and implementation options based on best practices
Required Skills & Experience
Undergraduate degree in a STEM field
1 – 3 years’ experience in software implementation
1 – 3 years’ experience in MS SQL Server or another RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Teradata, etc.
Experience with scripting using Transact-SQL
Familiar with databases and networking, including experience installing client software
Hands-on ability to code in Python, JAVA, C#, or related languages
Pipeline operations or risk management knowledge an asset
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work on tight deadlines
Must be able to travel in the US and Canada up to 10% of the time
