Role Summary :

As an Applications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-level technical support, driving cutting-edge product development, and ensuring customer-centric solutions that consistently exceed expectations.

In this role, you will:

· Be the technical bridge between customers and engineering, translating challenges into actionable solutions.

· Support product innovation, working with Digital R&D to advance next-gen Digital Products and reverse engineering initiatives.

· Ensure safety and compliance, aligning designs with legal requirements and "Safety in Design" principles.

· Validate digital products, conducting trials and performance evaluations in close collaboration with the sales team.

· Deliver insights, investigating market trends, customer pain points, and technical growth opportunities.

Key Technical Criteria

· Strong technical acumen, Mechanical/Electrical trade qualifications

· Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as drawings, specifications and CAD models

· Customer-first approach, ensuring technical support and solutions align with market needs.

· Collaboration mindset, working closely with the Engineering Team Lead and Product Manager to bring innovations to life.

· Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and refine product designs for optimal performance.

· Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality execution of engineering activities, from validation to product documentation.

· Qualifications in Mechatronics or Electrical engineering will be considered, but are not mandatory; candidates who demonstrate relevant experience and a formal trade qualification are also welcome.

· Mining Experience (Excavators & Trucks) – Essential Hands-on experience working with excavators and haul trucks in a mining environment is a must.

This role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle. This role involves approximately one week of travel per month, primarily across Australia's East Coast.
