Job Details:

JOB TITLE/ROLE : Application Server Administrator

DURATION : 6+ Months CTH

LOCATION : Raleigh NC

Basic Qualifications: 

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: 

•Bachelors degree in an IT-related field (Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering) Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

•Minimum 4 years in a support role 

•Experience in systems administration. 

•Knowledge of commonly-used troubleshooting tools in Windows Server 2008 or later, Windows XP and 7 

•PC and Server hardware knowledge

•Experience with Virtual Server Architecture 

•Strong problem solving skills and goal driven 

•Ability to manage multiple projects at a time 

•Experience with Active Directory 

•Networking (strong understanding of TCP/IP)

•Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Perl, Power shell, dos batch, C#, .Net) 

•Strong skills in IT fundamentals including, but not limited to: server administration, networking, database support/administration, scripting, infrastructure support 

•Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills 

•Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 

•Present a positive and professional attitude and demeanor 

•Willing to work off-shift hours and weekends as needed. 

•Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Designation. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: 

•Microsoft / Network / ITIL or other certifications

•Experience working in a large enterprise environment
