We are looking for an Application Owner to provide specialized technical support for web, mobile, and back-office applications within a banking environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring system stability, resolving incidents, and maintaining high service quality across critical platforms.

You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure operational continuity in both on-premise and cloud environments.

This is a hybrid role based in CDMX or Guadalajara, offering a balance between onsite collaboration and remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for banking applications, including web, mobile, and back-office systems.

• Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

• Perform technical analysis of data flows within databases (SQL/MySQL) to identify and resolve issues.

• Monitor and maintain application performance across Windows and Linux environments.

• Ensure stability and availability of PRD and QA environments.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to manage and resolve complex incidents.

• Document incident resolutions, common errors, and best practices for knowledge sharing.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.

• Participate in incident management processes, including escalation and root cause analysis.

Must-have Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in application support, production support, or similar roles.

• Advanced English level (written and spoken).

• Experience supporting applications in a banking or financial services environment.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration.

• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production incidents in critical systems.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams (development, infrastructure, business).

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-have

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.

• Basic knowledge of containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with APIs, microservices architecture, IIS, and middleware.

• Experience working with cloud environments.

• Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical systems.

• Willingness to support after-hours activities (e.g., DRP processes or critical incidents).
