As an Application Operations Manager for our Client’s Lifecycle Management system, you will be the key expert for Level 3 application support, ensuring consistent and accurate service delivery. Your focus is on maintaining and optimizing the solution, managing incidents and problems, and ensuring operational readiness.

You will work in an agile organization, supporting multi-tier applications and performing root cause analysis. This requires strong experience with database concepts (PL/SQL, SQL) for troubleshooting, as well as basic Java understanding and Linux/Unix administration skills for tasks such as navigating file systems, analysing logs, and managing configurations.

You will collaborate closely with application users, IT Service Owners, and other stakeholders to guarantee smooth operations and high availability.

This is a hybrid role based in Madrid's city center, ideal for those eager to thrive in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact in private banking technology. Position will require willingness for on-call and weekend shifts (when required).

Responsibilities

Proven experience in Level 3 application support within an agile organization
Strong understanding of database development concepts (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) for troubleshooting
Banking knowledge in CRM, account opening, and compliance
Basic Java knowledge for application-level analysis
Solid Linux/Unix administration skills for operational tasks (logs, scripts, navigation)
Experience in Release and Product Lifecycle Management
Familiarity with operating standard software and parameterization

Requirements

Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other IT related certification
Proven experience in Level 3 application support within an agile organization
Strong understanding of database development concepts (MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) for troubleshooting
Banking knowledge in CRM, account opening, and compliance is must
Basic Java knowledge for application-level analysis
Solid Linux/Unix administration skills for operational tasks (logs, scripts, navigation)
Experience in Release and Product Lifecycle Management
Familiarity with operating standard software and parameterization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with application users confidently
