Location
Candidates can be based in Switzerland, France, Italy, or Germany, provided they can travel to Meyrin, as the role is hybrid with a combination of office and home working days.
This position requires to travel a 20% of the time.
Job Description
We are seeking an Application Development Specialist to support and expand the KEVLAR Mechanical Protection (MP) and Personal Protection (PP) product portfolios.
This is a customer-facing technical role - where you will drive innovation, lead application development projects, and provide expert guidance to regional and global partners. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a collaborative, international environment and enjoy translating technical insights into practical market solutions.
Technical Support & Solution Development:
• Provide expert technical support for Kevlar®-based mechanical and personal protection applications. Work closely with customers to develop tailored solutions that meet their performance needs.
• New Product & Application Development - Lead and contribute to new product and application development initiatives in MP. Collaborate with global R&D and technical teams to introduce innovative solutions that enhance multi-hazard protection and comfort.
• Testing, Processing & Qualification Protocols - Develop testing methods, processing guidelines, and qualification protocols to support new product launches and customer evaluations.
• Hands-On Laboratory Engagement - Demonstrate a strong hands-on approach in the lab and with R&D equipment. Work closely with lab technicians to design and execute experiments and prototypes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Actively participate in regional and global business workstreams to support strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across teams
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Textile Engineering, or mechanical engineering
3+ years of work experience in technology within a Textile manufacturing environment
Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
Technical Skills: Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) is a plus
