· Position: Application Architect IV specialist

· Location: Plano, TX

· 7 - 10 years. 

Leads the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external, and internal stakeholders. Takes full responsibility for the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements within a significant area of the organization. Establishes policy and strategy for the selection of systems architecture components, and co-ordinates design activities, promoting the discipline to ensure consistency. Ensures that recommended solutions and standards are adhered to by the development teams. Within a business change program, manages the target design, policies and standards, working proactively to maintain a stable, viable architecture and ensure consistency of design across projects within the program.

Uses appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas. Produces detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products. Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.

• Understanding and assessing the needs of the business and recommending the most appropriate data based solution view
• Documenting solutions and architecture models through documents and other artefacts (e.g. Technology Approvals).
• Working with various applications/process/business stakeholders to understand and define alternate processes/remediation approaches.
• Producing Current State, Future State and Transitional Architecture models.
• Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and tech
• Ability to define data integrity controls
• Able to do gap analysis between current state and aspired state
• Ability to provide tactical and strategic solutions
• Able to understand and help define the necessary data movement mechanisms and data delivery mechanisms

• Actively participating in Group solutions design and review sessions to guide systems teams to ensure adherence to the agreed solution architecture.
• Identifying and leveraging appropriate industry and organization defined architecture reference models and solution patterns.
• Providing architectural consultancy as required for the delivery of projects to ensure business objectives are achieved and regulatory and operational risk are controlled.
• Advancing, and actively promoting, strategic architectures, technologies and products.
• Promoting an environment that supports diversity and reflects the organization’s brand.
• Lead the process of performing POC’s on products identified and oversee their rollouts.

· Key Skills :

• University degree.
• Minimum of Seven years’ experience in delivering system solutions, preferably including enterprise systems, as a Solutions Architect or similar architectural discipline.
• Experience with a wide range of solutions addressing application architecture and design, systems integration, workflow, data & information management and reporting.
• A strong track record of delivery and supporting successful implementations.
• Experience with Financial Services sector
• Excellent understanding of architectural concepts, principles and best practices.
• Solid analytical and design skills; able to quickly assess the strategic requirements and recommend appropriate solution options.
• Excellent understanding of how to apply architecture models, solution patterns and building blocks, the use of current and future state architectures, transitional architectures and how these can be applied to business strategies to meet strategic business objectives.
• Good understanding of how to conduct technical solution assessments.
• Solid understanding of methods and practices of systems integration and data management.
• Strong consulting techniques and negotiation and skills. Considered decision making skills.
• Appreciation of the challenges and complexity around the delivery of large, strategic, enterprise level solutions, and the importance of adhering to group standards, policies and practices.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Able to communicate clearly and concisely with business and IT partners at all organizational levels, internally or externally in a diverse organization.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with high levels of confidence and trust.
• Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and enthusiastic.
