Responsibilities:
Serve as primary contact with assigned clients
Answer incoming phone calls and field client questions
Assist with maintaining CRM database
Manage Appeals Council Attorney’s calendar and ensure deadlines are met
Draft letters, correspondence and legal documents to send to the Appeals Council as needed
Send detailed emails to attorneys and representatives outlining all communications with clients or in relation to clients
Process all incoming mail relating to assigned clients and process as necessary
Download and upload supporting documents, letters, etc. using the Social Security Administration’s Business Services online
Request and collect information from clients such as SSA Form 795, dire need information, 1696s, and other documentation
Communicate with contact points at various outside Referral Sources
Facilitate receiving proper documentation and materials from Referral Sources
Provide updates to Referral Sources
Communicate with contact points at Syracuse University and any contract writers
Download and upload proper files and supporting documents to contact points at Referral Sources and Syracuse University
Assist other Case Managers or Paralegals as necessary, promoting a team environment
Maintain client files, updating and checking on statuses regularly, with a focus on deadlines
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to firm policies and procedures
Requirements:
Associates degree and/or paralegal certificate or two years of relevant work experience
Customer service skills and experience
Knowledge of a multi-line telephone system, proficiency in computers (including Microsoft Suites), and excellent data entry and typing skills
Prior legal and/or Social Security experience is a plus
Experience with WORLDOX and Litify is a plus
