For the Client's Test Management Enablement & Automation engagement, CodeNinja brings a dedicated 12-person specialist team spanning Test Management, Automation Engineering, AI/ML, and Performance Testing — all governed under a structured 20-week program delivery framework.

About the Role

The APM & Observability Engineer sets up monitoring hooks (AppDynamics, HP BSM), correlates application metrics with load profiles, identifies bottlenecks at application, database, and infrastructure layers, and provides actionable tuning recommendations. This role ensures performance visibility across every layer of the Client's technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain monitoring hooks using AppDynamics, HP BSM, and/or Grafana for performance test observability.

• Correlate application-level metrics (response times, error rates, thread pools) with infrastructure metrics (CPU, memory, DB connections) during load tests.

• Identify bottlenecks at application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers during performance cycles.

• Provide specific, actionable tuning recommendations based on observed metrics and thresholds.

• Set up centralised performance metrics dashboards for real-time visibility during test execution.

• Support post-deployment smoke performance validation during low-traffic production windows.

• Document monitoring setup and facilitate knowledge transfer for the Client's operations team.

Requirements:
• 6+ years of APM/observability engineering experience.

• Hands-on proficiency with AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or equivalent enterprise APM platforms.

• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK stack for dashboard creation and alerting.

• Strong understanding of application architectures: microservices, API gateways, middleware, database layers.

• Experience correlating distributed system metrics under load conditions.

• Knowledge of HP BSM monitoring for infrastructure-level observability.

• Preferred Certifications: AppDynamics Certified Professional, Dynatrace Associate, Grafana Certified.
