The Program Manager is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end delivery of projects and strategic initiatives, from initial planning through execution, monitoring, governance, and closure. This role ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities and strategy.
Working cross‑functionally, the Program Manager partners with a wide range of internal stakeholders to drive alignment, clarify priorities, and maintain consistent momentum across the project portfolio. The role owns portfolio visibility, governance, and outcomes to ensure measurable business impact.
This position requires a highly motivated and self-directed individual who will take ownership of the project portfolio. You will manage the intake of project ideas and collaborate with both the customer and Expeditors Global Product teams to prioritize these ideas. Additionally, you will ensure that projects are appropriately sized and measurable, confirming that the right people and resources are available and assigned. You will also engage actively with your Program Management peers to enhance best practices, standards, tools, processes, and training related to project, program, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate projects and lead future‑focused discussions with both internal teams and customers to drive alignment and informed decision‑making
• Own and manage the project roadmap from initiation through delivery and closure
• Define a clear and structured execution approach, tracking progress and ensuring momentum throughout the project lifecycle
• Gather and confirm project requirements, deliverables, milestones, and timelines, ensuring clarity and shared understanding
• Lead regular project and stakeholder meetings to review progress, address challenges, mitigate issues, and drive decisions
• Establish realistic timelines, communicating expectations clearly and consistently across teams
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, taking action to avoid risks or minimize impact throughout the project lifecycle
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline
• 10+ years’ experience in program / project / account management, supporting complex regional or global enterprise customers
• Proven track record managing APAC or multi‑country programs with multiple stakeholders
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization and drive execution end‑to‑end
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a proven ability to assess current workflows and drive process improvements
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and project systems (e.g. Azure DevOps)
• Fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken); additional Asian languages are an advantage.
