The Opportunity

• Lead Core Systems Development: Manage and mentor a team of developers responsible for building and maintaining our mission-critical core trading systems. These systems cover everything from exchange connectivity and P&L calculations to middle-office functions and token transfers.

• Drive Technical Strategy: Take ownership of the technical roadmap for the our core systems suite of applications - balancing the need for high-performance, robust applications with business priorities and speed to market.

• Bridge Business & Tech: Take the lead in translating traders’ connectivity and business requirements into seamless, high-performance solutions. Support and mentor team members in doing this requirements analysis and design.

• Elevate Engineering Standards: Champion engineering best practices, with a strong focus on enhancing system reliability, monitoring, and overall code quality.

• Operational Excellence: Provide leadership in troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex production issues in a fast-paced trading environment.

Who you are

• Extensive HFT Experience: You have extensive experience building highly performant, complex backend systems and microservices architectures, ideally from a leading HFT environment. You thrive on the challenge of dealing with massive data throughput at low latency.

• Core Technical Skills: You are an expert in Python and have a working knowledge of C++. Experience with TypeScript is an added bonus.

• Capital Markets Expertise: You have a strong understanding of exchange APIs, websockets, and critical low-latency communication protocols.

• Leadership: You excel at leading and mentoring development teams, setting technical strategy, and driving a culture of engineering excellence.

• Excellent Attention to Detail: Your strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail allow you to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues quickly and effectively.

• Autonomy: You are effective in a fast-paced, autonomous environment, and can work with minimal oversight.
