Gulf Coast Emergency Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time assistant to work in our crematorium. As an animal crematorium assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the crematorium cleanliness and sanitation standards of our facility, and providing respectful and conscientious care to pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge.
Our team is led by dedicated veterinarians with decades of experience in animal health. Our state-of-the-art facility is furnished with the latest technology and equipment to care for everything from minor to severe emergencies. We have four exam rooms, an on-site blood bank, and a fully stocked pharmacy to evaluate and deliver emergency treatment. Our surgical suite is equipped with continuous critical care monitoring to observe every case with which we are faced. We have in-house radiology, lab analysis, and ultrasound. No matter how big or small the patient and their needs are, we continuously strive to set and deliver a high standard of compassionate care.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Answering phones to address all client's or potential client's pet aftercare needs.
• Driving company vehicle to and from our Veterinary Partner's clinics to receive pets for cremation and then returning the same.
• Assisting with the cleaning of the facility as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends• One weekend day per week is required for this position
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
• Basic computer skills (Use of Microsoft Office [primarily Word], experience with Windows OS)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds without assistance
