Our equipment is used, among other things, to inspect welds, detect hidden cracks, voids, porosity, and other internal irregularities in various materials.

You’ll be part of our high-performing IBD Sales and Applications team, partnering closely with Sales Specialists, the Business Manager IBD, and cross-functional groups such as Marketing, Product Management, and Service. Together, this team brings deep technical knowledge and a strong customer focus to deliver exceptional pre‑sales support and product expertise across the ANI portfolio.

 

How will you make a difference?

In this role, you will support the IBD Sales Team by delivering expert product demonstrations, technical guidance, and application training that help progress sales opportunities and strengthen customer confidence. You will report to the Business Manager IBD and provide regular updates on customer engagements, travel outcomes, and technical support activities.

 

Where is the position located?

Macquarie Park, Sydney. The role has working from home flexibility and will also require Interstate travel roughly once a month (depending on conferences, training of customers and sales team).

 

What will your typical day look like?

• Respond to customer and Sales Team inquiries, providing technical guidance and application support within agreed timeframes.

• Conduct tailored demonstrations of ANI products, ensuring all relevant information is captured and CRM records are maintained.

• Plan and coordinate travel across the territory to support demonstrations, onsite customer training, technical support, and marketing activities.

• Deliver intermediate and advanced training for internal staff and customers, maintaining accurate training records.

• Collaborate with Marketing on lead‑generation activities, technical presentations, workshops, and product launch coordination.

• Work closely with Product Management on demo equipment deployment and provide product lifecycle feedback to the factory.

• Partner with the Service Department for advanced troubleshooting and repair support for demo and customer equipment.

• Adhere to Quality Assurance processes, reporting complaints, issues, and improvement opportunities.

 

What do we want to know about you?

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Physics, Earth Sciences, Materials Science).

• Experience working with XRF technologies (highly regarded).

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.

• Previous experience in Product Management, Technical Applications, or Technical Sales.

• Ability and willingness to travel across Australia/New Zealand and internationally as required.
