What you’ll achieve We're looking for a Security Automation Engineer to help build the next generation of secure, automated systems. In this role, you'll be transforming how we manage security, by designing and implementing scalable automation that removes manual bottlenecks, increases efficiency, and strengthens our overall security posture. As a senior technical expert, you’ll work closely with teams across product security, DevOps, and IT to embed automation deep into our security and engineering workflows. You'll have the opportunity to build AI solutions to enhance threat detection, automate decision-making, and improve the accuracy and efficiency of security responses. Your work will help drive smarter, faster, and more proactive security outcomes, all powered by code. If you love streamlining complex systems, automating at scale, and making a real impact through hands-on engineering, we’d love to have you on the team. You will: Design, implement, and maintain scalable systems and tools to automate complex security tasks across cloud and on-prem environments. Build and optimize security workflows, pipelines, and orchestration processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, SecOps, IT, and Developers) to gather requirements and embed security capabilities into core business and engineering workflows. Advocate for security best practices and automation across the organization, serving as a thought leader and mentor within the engineering team. Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, playbooks, and automation logic. Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure-ascode (IaC) and configuration management tools such as Ansible across Linux and Windows environments Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Solid hands-on experience with scripting and programming using NodeJS, JavaScript for backend and Angular, React (good to have) for frontend Good experience with MySQL, PGSQL for database Well-versed in using Elasticsearch and Kibana to explore data and create insightful visualizations. Experience creating RESTful APIs and exposure to GraphQL for flexible data access and PKS, Gitlab for deployments Desirable Requirements Experience with Go, Java, and secure coding practices across multiple language ecosystems.
