Job Brief:-

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications.

A prospective candidate would have extremely good Android/ Java programming chops, experience with database (MySQL/ SQLite) design, MVC architecture, and working in Eclipse. An interest in Software Architecture and product development coupled with excellent communication skills would be a natural expectation.

Key Competencies:-

• Good in design patterns with Android programming language.

• Familiar with Android & its related technologies like Android SDK, Java.

• Experience with GIT, XML, JSON, CSS3 & Web Services.

• Familiar in using native libraries like websocket would be an advantage.

• Having good troubleshooting skills with track record to solve customer problems by identifying and performing root cause analysis (esp. on mobile applications).

• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

• Have exposure to orchestrate technical and functional design by discussing with architects and tech leads, prioritize and help product management for predicting right delivery commitments.

• Solid understanding of mobile development life cycle.

• Good exposure to agile & esp. scrum process will be an advantage.

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Work with outside data sources and API's.

• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Additional Skill

• Good hands on debugging skills.

• Strong in fundamental to suggest mobile UI design recommendations.

• Able to write simple queries using sql.

General

• Product / captive experience with similar domain (consumer electronics / mobile) will be a plus.

• Willingness to work overlap time zone if required based on project need basis.

• Strong communication skills.
