Job Description

We are looking for an android developer to join our development team.

The Technical Stuff: 

Our technology backend is written in Django. We use other associated tools like celery, flower etc. Our frontend is written in angularjs with twitter bootstrap. We use mysql/mongodb as data store and Elasticsearch and Kibana for analytics. We have iOS/android SDKs written in Objective C and Java, respectively.

Candidate must have 

- Good aptitude/analytical skills 

- A degree in CS or related field from a premier institute 

- Should have made a non-trivial android app 

- Prior exposure to working in internet domain 

- Excellent oral and written communication skills 

- Prior experience in any of the technologies that we use, in particular django or angularjs, would be a plus

Technology Challenges that you'd work on Our mission leads us to various technological problems. Providing user analytics and sending personalized messages at scale is technologically challenging. For each of the millions of users of an app, we want to create a personalized message by wading through the activities that they have done, and running algorithms on that data. And we want to get this done in minutes if not seconds. This involves non trivial effort in storing the data effectively and employing suitable algorithms to retrieve it. Customers use our SaaS product through a web UI. There are non trivial design and implementation challenges in making an easy to use and high performance web interface. We have low foot print SDKs for android and iOS. We need to continuously add features to our SDKs while ensuring they are high performance and not too large in size.
