As our Analytics Engineer (f/m/d), you’ll build and maintain the data transformation layer that powers decision-making at ZEAL. Sitting at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, you’ll develop scalable, well-documented dbt models and reusable assets that empower business and analytics teams to self-serve with confidence. You’ll contribute to a high-quality, governed data ecosystem that enables accurate insights and scalable growth across domains. 

Your tasks: 

• Build shareable and reusable dbt models and data assets for analytical use cases. 

• Implement data transformations that align with business objectives and key metrics. 

• Maintain and optimize the semantic layer to support self-service analytics and reporting. 

• Ensure data quality and consistency through validation checks, documentation, and monitoring. 

• Manage and maintain domain-specific data marts, ensuring they are accurate, accessible, and trusted. 

• Define and uphold data contracts for owned data assets, ensuring stability for downstream users. 

• Proactively monitor pipelines to identify and resolve data quality issues. 

• Collaborate with Program Managers, analysts, and engineers to align infrastructure with business needs. 

• Support integration of external data sources (e.g. funnel.io) into the analytics ecosystem. 

• Apply and enforce data governance standards for secure and compliant data usage. 

• Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to our Analytics Engineering Guild. 

• Continuously optimize dbt models and performance of shared data assets. 

What you offer us: 

• 2+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data modeling, or data transformation. 

• Hands-on experience with dbt, SQL and modern data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). 

• Familiarity with data integration tools and cloud-based ETL/ELT frameworks.

• Strong understanding of data contracts, governance principles, and semantic layer design. 

• Proven ability to build efficient, scalable, and maintainable data transformation pipelines. 

• Comfortable collaborating across technical and non-technical teams. 

• Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset. 

• Passion for creating clean, reliable, and reusable data assets that empower others. 

• Python skills would be beneficial.
