Markets Intelligence & Strategic Insights (MISI) is the business unit within the Business Office at State Street Investment Management that supports the organization in reporting & analytics, data infrastructure/quality, sales enablement as well as Strategy and Planning. The Analytics Engineer role is a hands-on, technical position within the Markets Intelligence and Strategic Insights team. The role will be instrumental in developing and enhancing Tableau dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will also play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the analytical data infrastructure. Working closely with stakeholders across Strategy, Capital Markets, and Technology, this role focuses on developing robust ETL pipelines, integrating disparate datasets, and enabling scalable, reliable analytics across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Focusing on impactful analyses that will significantly contribute to business objectives, the role will consist of contributing across the full analytical lifecycle, including data modelling and the development and maintenance of Tableau dashboards and reports that deliver clear, timely insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality ETL pipelines to support the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) project by centralizing and integrating disparate datasets into a scalable analytical infrastructure
• Collaborating with Strategy to understand key business and strategy questions, and producing analytical products that directly support commercial and strategic objectives
• Develop and enhance enterprise-grade Tableau dashboards that communicate trends, drivers, and performance clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure dashboards meet standards for performance, usability, and interpretability
• Contribute to design decisions around data freshness, transformation layers, and analytical layer. Proactively identify data quality issues and partner with upstream teams to resolve them
Required Qualifications
• A BS/MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field (or related experience)
• 8+ years of relevant experience in analytics, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data engineering roles, with at least 3–5 years building analytics solutions in a complex, enterprise data environment
• Demonstrated experience owning end‑to‑end analytical products (data modeling, transformations, dashboards, and stakeholder delivery)
• Experience operating at a senior individual contributor level, influencing analytical approach, standards, and design across projects
• Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines in platforms such as Databricks
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark, with a solid understanding of data modelling best practices
• Strong collaboration skills, a question-first mindset, and comfort interacting with a range of stakeholders
• Highly organized, with the ability to thrive in fast-moving and evolving environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional experience in developing, automating, and scaling Tableau dashboards
• Experience working with Databricks, Apache Spark or similar technologies
• Familiarity with, and interest in, financials markets and market data
• Prior experience supporting and working on analytics teams within financial services or capital markets environments
Minimum Salary:
zł182 004 Annual
The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
