We are in the animal health business, partnering with our clients in the areas of Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing to produce pharmaceuticals for both farm and companion animals. About the role:
Due to a team member going on parental leave, we now have an opportunity for an up-and-coming Analytical chemist or Technician to join the QC night shift team.
This role will keep you busy with not only performing your required testing but also investigations, supporting CAPA action closure and performing equipment maintenance when needed. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is not only capable from a technical perspective but can adapt well to changes and isn’t afraid to speak up. By nature, you are a solutions-orientated team player that takes a proactive approach to their work.
The Quality Control team supports our manufacturing business to ensure raw materials and finished products are tested to meet the highest level of quality standards and business requirements.
This role is unique as the night shift will not only include regular analytical testing but will also give you the opportunity to be involved in release to fill testing, QA activities such as line clearances, equipment calibrations and assisting with stock of glassware and consumables. You will also be expected to be involved in health and safety practices such as fire warden duty, first aider, certified spill response as well as identifying critical risks in your environment.

Your background, experience and attributes will include:
Relevant tertiary qualification in chemistry
Minimum 1-year of experience in a GMP environment ideally the pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in analytical testing
Able to strictly follow the standard operating procedure
Ability to work under pressure, multitask and manage your time effectively
Proven attention to detail, quality focused and a willingness to learn and improve
