Role Summary

The Analyst, YouTube Intelligence is responsible for the day-to-day performance tracking, reporting, and analysis that powers creative decision-making across Beast Industries’ YouTube channels. Reporting to the Senior Manager of YouTube Intelligence, this role is the analytical engine room, ensuring that every channel, every upload, and every format has the data context needed for creative teams to make better decisions.

This is not a back-office reporting role. The Analyst operates with significant independence: surfacing insights, presenting findings to channel leads and creative teams, and developing the YouTube fluency required to grow into a strategic analytics leader. The expectation is high output, high curiosity, and a genuine obsession with understanding what makes content perform on YouTube.

Core Mandate

• Maintain comprehensive, real-time performance visibility across all Beast YouTube channels

• Produce the upload, weekly and monthly reporting that drives content and packaging decisions

• Surface actionable insights independently and present them directly to creative stakeholders

• Use AI tools fluently to increase analytical speed, depth, and output

Primary Responsibilities

Daily Performance Tracking & Upload-Cycle Analysis

• Own the day-to-day performance tracking across all Beast YouTube channels, maintaining dashboards that provide real-time visibility into upload performance, channel health, and audience behavior

• Monitor performance on the upload cycle, flagging early signals on new videos and Shorts and finding insights and trends to improve

• Track performance across all relevant variables that inform ideation, creative, production and editing decisions

Reporting & Post-Mortems

• Produce weekly performance reports across all channels, distilling raw data into clear narratives about what happened, why, and what should change

• Contribute to monthly roll-up reports that capture broader performance trends, content mix effectiveness, and channel trajectory

• Run post-mortems on individual long-form videos and Shorts, pulling performance data and drafting initial insights for the Senior Manager to review, refine, and elevate to leadership

Competitive & Platform Monitoring

• Track what top-tier creators and emerging channels are doing—new formats, packaging experiments, content strategies—and flag relevant signals for the team

• Monitor YouTube platform changes, trending topics, and format-level shifts across long-form, Shorts, live streams, and community posts

• Maintain competitive tracking systems that give the team a persistent view of how Beast’s channels are performing relative to the broader YouTube landscape

• Proactively identify emerging content trends, viral format shifts, and high-growth niches with specific data to support them, and bring these findings to the Senior Manager and team unprompted

Creative Team Support & Insight Delivery

• Present findings independently to channel leads and creative teams, delivering data in a format that is clear, actionable, and relevant to the decisions they’re making and follow through to ensure insights are implemented, not just received

• Support the thumbnail team, ideation team, and post-production teams with relevant performance data at the right stage of the content lifecycle

Ideal Candidate Profile

• You know YouTube deeply, either from working with a creator, running a channel, or holding a platform-side role. You understand how the algorithm works, what drives impressions, and why some videos break out while others don’t

• You are highly proficient with spreadsheets, comfortable building dashboards, and have working familiarity with SQL or similar query tools

• You actively use AI tools in your analytical workflow and see them as a core multiplier, not a novelty. You use them to automate repetitive work, accelerate analysis, and build things faster

• You can communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical, creative audiences. You know the difference between showing someone a chart and telling them what it means for their next decision

• You are fast, reliable, and detail-oriented. You take ownership of your deliverables and don’t wait to be told what to look at

• You are genuinely obsessed with YouTube content and excited by the opportunity to apply that obsession at the highest level of the platform

Success in This Role

• The teams never fly blind. Every upload has performance context, every trend is tracked, and creative leads have the data they need before they need to ask for it

• Weekly and monthly reports are consistently delivered on time, are analytically rigorous, and contain insights that visibly influence creative decisions

• Post-mortems go beyond surface-level metrics and consistently surface insights that change how the next video is approached

• Channel leads and creative teams increasingly rely on this role as a trusted source of performance context and creative input

• AI tools are embedded into daily workflows, enabling analytical output that exceeds what would be possible through traditional methods alone

• You regularly surface emerging trends, ideas, and observations that lead to creative action, demonstrating initiative that goes beyond assigned reporting
