About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, motivated Marketing & Communications Analyst with a strong interest in marketing, communications, and strategy. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environment.
You’ll support cross‑functional teams, contribute to client work across industries, and help turn research, data, and insights into compelling stories and strategic recommendations. This role requires strong time management, analytical thinking, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality work.

Requirements:
What you'll be responsible for:
• Supporting team members in the development, management, and execution of strategic initiatives across departments and client projects
• Conducting research and analysis to inform marketing, communications, and business strategies
• Synthesizing complex ideas, data, and findings into clear, client‑ready presentations and written deliverables
• Assisting in the implementation of marketing programs that strengthen brand awareness and drive results
• Collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders to move projects forward efficiently
• Managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Supporting preparation of materials and presentations for key stakeholders
• Ensuring all work meets Athena’s standards for quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Demonstrating flexibility, teamwork, and a solutions‑focused mindset in pursuit of client and organizational goals
The skills and experience you should have:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and analytical capabilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• A proactive, self‑motivated, “get‑it‑done” mentality
• Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working collaboratively across teams
• Analytical and creative problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including experience with Pivot Tables
• Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university
It's a plus if you have:
• Prior internship or co‑op experience
• Leadership experience through extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or team‑based settings
• Strong presentation skills
• A professional, confident, and proactive demeanor—especially when interacting with clients or senior leaders
