JOB TITLE: ALUMINUM CUTTER

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Reports to: Aluminum and Spot Weld Supervisor

Position Overview:

The Aluminum Cutter is responsible for cutting aluminum lighting products. They must operate with strong attention to detail and work with a sense of urgency to meet all deadlines without comprising quality of work.

Duties + Responsibilities

· Report to supervisor daily regarding order count and specificity and on any machinery in need of maintenance or repair

· Cut aluminum lighting products as determined and trained by supervisor

· Ensure all lighting products are completed with a strong attention to detail and according to customer specifications and deadlines

· Inspect all material and set aside extrusion damaged beyond tolerance

· Maintain an overall understanding of the processes involved with lighting product manufacturing

· Uphold strong quality control standards and comply with all company safety protocols including wearing appropriate safety gear

· Reference color tags when sending parts to paint department to ensure proper completion

· Inspect blade and use proper lubricants on parts; deburr parts when needed

· Manage set-ups and complete first part for inspection

Skills + Specifications

· Ability to measure/read measurements using a tape measurer

· Understanding of basic math skills; ability to read fractions and convert fractions to decimals

· Ability to handle a large variety of tasks with varying levels of complexity without compromising quality of work, attention to detail or deadline adherence

· Possess agility and adaptability to work collaboratively and cross departmentally

· Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork mentality

· Possess strong communication skills
