Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations. In this hands-on, execution-focused role, you will be responsible for bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and preparing VAT returns. You will report directly to our Director of Accounting, who is responsible for accounting, ERP systems (SAP), and financial closings. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy precise work, take ownership of their tasks, and are excited to support a fast-growing international SaaS company. Your Responsibilities Independently manage day-to-day accounting under German GAAP (HGB) for German and international entities Handle accounts receivable and payable, including invoice creation, payment runs, and dunning Support the preparation of monthly closings, including accruals, deferrals, and account reconciliations Prepare and submit VAT filings and other tax-related reports (e.g. ZM, OSS) Support year-end closings, audits, and cooperation with tax advisors and auditors Contribute to process optimization and digitization within the SAP ERP system Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. Procurement, Legal, Controlling) What We Offer A responsible role with real impact on our financial processes A dynamic, international working environment in an innovative tech company Flexible working hours and hybrid work options Competitive compensation and modern tools A collaborative and international team with flat hierarchies and open communication

Position Requirement

Your Profile Completed commercial training with further qualification as a Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter:in IHK) or equivalent (e.g. relevant university degree) At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international or tech/service environment Strong knowledge of German commercial law (HGB) and VAT regulations Proficient in accounting software (SAP BusinessOne) and MS Excel; familiarity with Google Sheets is a plus. Precise, structured, and independent working style Fluent in German and very good English skills, both written and spoken
