Position Overview:
AJC is looking for a results-driven, dynamic and detail-oriented logistics professional to join our team in the role of Logistic Facilitator, Logistic Specialist. The Logistic Specialist will be responsible for daily interfaces between our internal customers and external vendors. The position requires interaction with all functional departments of AJC, including 18 sales & operational regions, and around 20 outside vendors. The ideal candidate should have business acumen, extensive Logistic and Operation industry knowledge, and should be a creative problem solver.
Essential Duties:
Including but not limited to:
Handle the schedules of our main warehouses lit
Update our system with the information of our schedules
Work with our operations, warehousing and transportation team to coordinate the loading of cargo
Overseeing the loading process with the warehouse. (Main focus on every stage of the cargo along the loading process)
Daily communication with customer service representatives at cold storages
Daily communication with dray carriers’ customer service
Analyze daily vessel schedules and the impact on our schedules
Work with our transportation and operations team daily on bookings, pulling empty cntrs, returning cntrs and any cost that may arise from it
Analyze potential charges caused during the logistics and guide our operations team on how to proceed.
Discuss discounts with external vendors
Work with our Strategic supply on product availability and optimize the scheduling to keep a high quality standard of loading.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and performance. Offer ideas on how to implement positive changes.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade or equivalent experience required.
Ideally 1 - 2 years of experience in Logistics
Knowledge of inventory and warehousing procedures is highly valued
The ideal candidate should be pro-active, positive, energetic, and able to work under pressure.
Language Requirements:
Candidate is required to read, write, and speak Spanish and English fluently.
