Airside Driver (With Aviation Security)

✈️ We are recruiting Airside Drivers to join our team in Liverpool, supporting airfield operations in a secure environment 🚍

This is a primarily driving-focused role where you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely between terminal and aircraft using operational vehicles on the airside of the airport.

What's on offer:

• Client: Wilson James
• Location: Liverpool Airport
• Start Date: 1st April 2026
• Pay: £13.30 per hour
• Hours: 42 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
• Shift Times: 20:00 – 08:00 (Night shifts)
• Temp to Perm (performance based)

Primary Responsibility – Driving:

• Driving operational airside vehicles
• Transporting passengers to and from aircraft safely and efficiently
• Cobalt 3000 - Bespoke training provided
• Operating in line with airside safety regulations
• Delivering excellent customer service during passenger transfers

Additional Responsibility – Aviation Security (Ongoing):

• Supporting aviation security procedures
• Assisting with access control and compliance tasks
• Maintaining safety and regulatory standards

📌 From October 2026 onwards, the role transitions fully into an Aviation Security Officer position, providing longer-term career stability.

Training schedule:

All successful candidates will complete a 2-week classroom training programme covering:

• Airside driving compliance
• Safety procedures
• Aviation security fundamentals

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

• No more than 3 points on Licence
• Minimum 21 years of age (security clearance requirement)
• Strong awareness of safety and responsibility
• Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
• Comfortable working night shifts

✅ Previous professional driving experience (e.g., bus, coach, airside, transport, logistics, or shuttle services) is beneficial but not essential.
