Title: Airport Systems Support Technician - Part Time

 

Location: Victoria International Airport (YYJ) - Victoria, BC

If you are looking for an exciting challenge whereby no two days are the same, then this position may be for you. Further information on this role is detailed below: 

Position Overview:  You will be responsible for the company’s day to day IT support and maintenance activities at Victoria International Airport including incident resolution, root cause analysis, hardware replacement, hardware repair, software troubleshooting, software updates, core room maintenance, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance on all airport owned equipment. 

FLSA Status: This is a part-time, onsite position requiring weekend shift work. Shifts are 10 hours on Saturdays and Sundays, rotating every four weeks between 4:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 9:30 AM - 8:30 PM.

  

Minimum Requirements:  

High School Diploma and/or two (2) years of relevant experience

Working experience with end user equipment on Microsoft Windows environment

Working experience with networked equipment

Strong problem resolution skill-set

Experience of all above within site-based customer service environment

Hardware Configuration: Familiar with desktop/laptop/tablet configuration and repair.

Ability to independently analyze and solve routine computer related problems.

Ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, methods and procedures, such as manuals, wiring diagrams, product documentation and related materials

Comfortable working early morning or afternoon shifts

Preferred Experience:

Documented experience in superior customer service delivery.

Personable and able to work independently.

Able to establish and maintain good working relationships and communication with decision makers, stakeholders, department heads and end-users regarding pertinent network activities.

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

CompTIA A+, Network+ Preferred.
