Job Description
At Elysian Aircraft, we're not just building a company; we're crafting a vision for the future of aviation. With the sky as our canvas, we see endless possibilities on our journey. Supported by industry leaders and global organizations, our mission to create the aircraft of the future is already taking flight.
We are engineers. We are pilots. We are builders.
We don’t chase hype. We are true to science. Like the pioneers of aviation, we build what doesn’t exist yet.
New angles fuel honest debates to challenge conventions when the problems are first-of-a-kind. We welcome people who bring different perspectives, backgrounds, and paths.
This is Elysian and we are on a mission to enable the electrification of the aerospace industry. If that makes your pulse rise, come build with us.
Your Mission:
Own installation work packages to integrate aircraft systems into the airframe with clear interfaces, routing, and verification evidence.
Deliver buildable installation definitions (routing, brackets, access, maintainability) under configuration control.
Own interfaces across structures/electrical/propulsion/thermal/hydraulics/avionics and close integration clashes early.
Support prototype builds with rapid, controlled updates and inspection-ready evidence.
Perform trade studies, propose and implement the improvements in terms of System Installation with impact on safety, weight, cost, and installation time.
Certification Support: Prepare compliance documentation and test plans to meet regulatory standards.
Day-to-Day:
Own installation definitions for assigned systems: routing, brackets/supports, access, maintainability, and build sequence.
Produce installation deliverables (3D integration, drawings, interface definitions, constraints).
Drive interface alignment across structures, electrical/harnessing, propulsion, and thermal teams.
Define and manage installation requirements (clearances, separation, protection, service loops) with traceability.
Support configuration control: manage changes, impacts, and release status for build/test hardware.
Support prototype build and integration: resolve issues, update definitions, close actions.
Evaluate and implement new technologies for modifications and improvements.
Define installation verification activities (inspection points, fit checks, functional checks) and document results.
Support supplier/partner integration where components are externally designed.
Traits for Success:
BSc/MSc in Aerospace/Mechanical or similar.
4-7 years experience in airframe/systems installation, or complex packaging work.
Ability to own work packages end-to-end: requirements - definition - build support - verification evidence.
Proven experience in CAD software (e.g., 3DExperience), PDM/PLM systems and Digital Mock-Up (DMU) environments
Strong interface discipline (ICDs, change control, clear ownership).
Understanding of aircraft systems and manufacturing processes
Practical mindset: comfortable with shop-floor integration and resolving real fit/build problems.
Ability to prioritize safety, maintainability, and verification needs over “nice-looking CAD”.
Understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness standards.
Good written documentation discipline (clear, reviewable, testable).
Experience working with multiple engineering teams and balancing constraints.
Nice-to-have:
Experience with high-voltage routing constraints or EMI/EMC considerations (awareness level).
Familiarity with aerospace configuration management and release processes.
Experience supporting prototype builds and iterative integration.
Demonstrate agility and autonomy
