Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Structures Lead Technician, working out of the CFB Trenton, ON to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
The Aircraft Structures Lead Technician will work directly under Maintenance Manager and supervise the Aircraft Structure Technician team day-to-day activities and the O&I Maintenance team during Home Station Check.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise the assembly, disassembly, modification, and overhaul of aerospace vehicle systems and components in accordance with Technical Orders and regulations.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and restore functionality.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment; direct validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Inspect components and verify repairs to ensure compliance with flight-worthiness, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation of procedures, repairs, test results, modifications, and inspections to maintain compliance and traceability.
• Carry Aircraft Release Authority (ARA) following Home Station Check inspections, ensuring timely and quality maintenance to meet Boeing and Royal Canadian Air Force airworthiness standards.
• Lead, mentor, and provide training to the Structure Technician team, fostering a culture of safety, first-time quality, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Quality and Safety teams to address audit findings, compliance risks, and maintenance occurrences promptly.
• Operate effectively within MAST and Squadron Maintenance teams, contributing to shared goals and operational excellence.
• Maintain mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements to ensure up-to-date technical proficiency.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• 4+ years of experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician /Aircraft Mechanic, maintenance release authority (MRA), or equivalent to RCAF Level A.
• Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices.
• Must have knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks and the ability to interpret Technical Orders (TOs).
• Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) licensed S rating or Military equivalent.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada.
• Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions.
• Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.
• Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.
• Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.
• Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
• 4+ years of experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives.
• Experience as Aircraft Release Authority (ARA) or equivalent RCAF Level C.
• Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Type Course via Air Educational and Training Command (AETC)
• Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
• Active Secret Level II security clearance.
• Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.
• Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), current ERKS at 429 Transport Squadron is the Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system.

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
The ability to work on a Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is CAD $100,000.00 - CAD $110,000.00 annually.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
