This position is located at Andersen AFB, Guam, and is a Full Time position. This position will report to the Site Manager.

JOB SUMMARY:
This job, located at Andersen AFB, Guam, supports Air Combat Training System (ACTS) operations (also known as Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) and is primarily a hands-on electronics technician role, not a traditional engineering position. An engineering degree is not required. The position requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line. The duties and requirements of this position include, but are not limited to:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Schedule and perform periodic, preventive, and corrective Airborne Subsystem (Pod) maintenance (including ancillary equipment).
Respond to notification of malfunctioning Airborne Subsystems/pods, including applicable ancillary equipment, as well as Range Remote Unit (RRU) functions
Assist with Ground Station/Live Monitor/RRU maintenance as required
Troubleshoot and repair to restore the AS/pods and RRUs to full functionality
Perform system installation, preparation for use and reshipment
Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
Identify and report product quality/material deficiencies
Identify and report supply discrepancies
Transport, install, and remove Pods, including ancillary equipment
Verify proper subsystem electro-mechanical interfaces with aircraft
Conduct inventories and maintain accountability records for Airborne Subsystems/pods, including ancillary and support equipment
Comply with inspection requirements and implement approved configuration changes
Perform equipment status reporting, as well as maintenance data collection/job documentation
Conduct Airborne Subsystem training, including ancillary and support equipment; maintain/update training documentation as required
Perform corrosion prevention and control
Monitor Facilities, Technical Publications, Supply Accounts/Bench Stock, Monitor Support Equipment, Monitor Tools, and Vehicles
Ensure compliance with TDX’s Quality Control and Safety Programs
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma and successful completion of an accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics – or – equivalent military training (highly desired)
Associate’s degree in Electronics and experience at the Craftsman level highly desirable
Three (3) years Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) or Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS) experience highly desired - NOT DISQUALIFYING
Six (6) years’ experience at the journeyman level is highly desired
Flight line experience highly desired – NOT DISQUALIFYING
This job requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line
Additional Requirements
US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
Must have a U.S. Passport and appropriate visas
Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license and meet requirements for a flight-line driving permit
Must be able to travel to other countries in support of TDY operations
Must be able to lift 50 lbs above shoulder level
Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours at a time
COMPETENCIES:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
Demonstrate basic and some advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices
Interpret circuit diagrams to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents
Demonstrate knowledge in the use of test instruments such as Oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment and analyzers
Ability to speak, read, and write English
