Role Overview

Mint Source is hiring an AI Visual Creator (Static Ads) to join a Canadian performance creative agency that builds scroll-stopping static ads for DTC brands across health, apparel, pet, and fitness verticals. The agency is known for unconventional, humor-driven, attention-grabbing creative that helps clients scale ad spend profitably. Your job is to take ad angles and messaging from the strategy team and turn them into striking, original visual concepts using AI image generation tools. You won't be designing finished ads. Instead, your imagery will be passed to the in-house design team to be composited into final creatives. This is a critical role that sits at the very front of the creative pipeline, where every ad starts.

What You'll Do

Take ad angles, hooks, and messaging briefs from creative strategists and ideate visual concepts that bring them to life.

Generate high-quality, original imagery using AI tools like Midjourney, Higgsfield, Nano Banana, Flux, or similar platforms.

Work on 4 briefs per day, generating 12-18 images per brief.

Push creative boundaries with humor, unexpected compositions, surreal imagery, and unconventional visual angles that stop the scroll.

Collaborate closely with creative strategists in real time, iterating quickly on feedback and refining prompts to land on the right visual.

Hand off final imagery to the in-house design team for compositing into finished static ads.

Maintain a strong understanding of each client's brand and category so generated imagery feels native to their voice and audience.

Stay current on new AI image generation tools, models, and techniques, and proactively test and bring new capabilities into the workflow.

Keep a clean workflow: track which prompts produced which visuals, organize generated assets, and maintain reference libraries for ongoing campaigns.

What We're Looking For

1+ years of hands-on experience generating commercial-grade visuals with AI image tools (Midjourney, Higgsfield, Flux, Nano Banana, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, or similar).

A portfolio of AI-generated work that demonstrates strong aesthetic judgment, creative range, and the ability to produce striking imagery, not generic stock-feeling output.

Very fluent written and spoken English, since you'll be in constant back-and-forth with creative strategists. Clear, fast, articulate communication is non-negotiable.

A genuinely creative mind: someone who can take a one-line ad angle and pitch three unexpected visual directions for it.

Strong taste: you can tell the difference between a forgettable AI image and one that stops the scroll, and you know how to push prompts to get there.

Familiarity with performance marketing and direct-response advertising is a strong plus, since understanding what makes an ad work helps you generate imagery with intent.

A fast iteration mindset, comfortable producing multiple variations, taking feedback without ego, and refining quickly.

Highly AI-forward. You're already deep in the AI image generation space and excited to push it further, not someone who's just dabbled.

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

Quality and creativity of visual output, measured by how often your generated imagery is approved by strategists on first or second pass and progresses to the design team.

Consistently shipping 4 briefs/day at 12-18 images per brief.

Speed of turnaround on briefs from strategists.

Strategist feedback: how easy you are to collaborate with, how clearly you communicate, how well you take direction and iterate.

Range and originality. Evidence that you're not defaulting to the same visual style or prompt patterns across briefs.

30/60/90 ramp: by Day 30, working confidently on briefs with light supervision and producing imagery that meets the agency's creative bar. By Day 60, operating largely independently across multiple client accounts with consistent quality. By Day 90, recognized as a reliable creative partner by the strategy team and contributing your own ideas on how to elevate visual concepts further.
