Our Software Systems Engineering team ensures that our customers have the software systems they need for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and deliver software systems modifications as well as enhancements of new products. We oversee product development at all stages: planning, designing, developing and testing operating systems, compilers, routers, utilities, databases, embedded management and control devices, plus internet-related tools.

What you’ll achieve

Participate in internal and industry forums. Take the lead in shaping technology strategy as it relates to future products. Provide subject matter expertise on multiple technologies. Generate IP including multiple invention disclosures per year. Create presentations, white papers and other collateral

You will:

• Plan and develop prototypes to realize novel methods, demonstrate feasibility, and verify concepts

• Be impactful across multiple lines of business

• Own multiple, highly complex areas of technology

• Engaging strategic customers to create detailed use cases

• Act as a trusted advisor to product groups, the Chief Technology Office, and senior executives

Essential Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment

• Applicant must have a proven track record of delivery within a large scale AI R&D environment

• Proven experience in navigating and influencing within complex, highly distributed organizational environments

• Ability to identify industry trends and formulate a long-term technical vision and strategy in alignment with our core business objectives

• 15+ years of related experience and MS in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or Computer Science

Desirable Requirements

• Candidates for this role will have advanced expertise in one or more of the following areas: AI, Networking, Security, or Cloud Native technologies with a focus on protocols, tools, technology, and development methods

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $$269,000.00 to $360,000.00
