About the role:

We are looking for a Solutions Architect with a mix of web3 and AI experience to help us prototype and build an offering for industry partners that implements both blockchain and AI tooling and infrastructure. This Solutions Architect will oversee end-to-end AI solutions, integrating the latest AI technologies with Hedera capabilities. This role requires a unique blend of expertise in AI, blockchain, or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) applications, and smart contract development.

We are looking for a technical expert who can help us mature and enhance our AI Studio suite of SDKs, services, platforms, and demos. We are looking for someone who can help us be a frontrunner in the agentic commerce space by helping develop prototypes and products at the bleeding edge of AI & Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT).

The ideal candidate will also have some experience with web3 tools and platforms, AI frameworks, and:

• Have the ability to design DLT-based AI solutions that leverage smart contracts and Hedera native services for decentralized AI applications

• Possess the skills to develop and audit smart contracts using Solidity and Hedera services

• Be able to architect decentralized applications (dApps) that integrate AI capabilities with blockchain infrastructure

• Build demos and templates of AI + DLT applications that showcase how to use Hedera and our SDKs to build AI agents that follow the latest AI standards and protocols

• Work with our security team to ensure security and compliance of blockchain AI hybrid systems

• Help design and prototype AI solutions using cloud hosting for LLMs with RAG or MCP servers

• Have proficiency in AI orchestration tools: LangChain, LlamaIndex, or comparable frameworks

• Lead technical decision-making on technology stack selection, infrastructure design, and deployment strategies

• Define solution architecture strategies that align with business objectives and technical constraints

• Establish monitoring and observability systems for AI and blockchain applications

Qualification Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the web3 development space, including developing and deploying smart contracts, with an understanding of decentralized finance mechanisms and architecture. Experience should include at least some of the following:

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Software Developer, Technical Architect, or similar technical role

• 2+ years of experience with blockchain technologies and smart contract development (Solidity, Ethereum, or other blockchain platforms)

• Web3 development frameworks: Truffle, Hardhat, Remix, Web3.js, ethers.js

• Blockchain architecture knowledge: Consensus mechanisms, Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain bridges

• Experience with major blockchains: Hedera, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, or similar platforms

• Cloud platforms knowledge: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure

• Programming languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Java

• Database technologies: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, time-series databases

• API development: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, microservices architecture

• MCP server development and deployment: Use and deployment of MCP servers

• Speaking or writing experience at technical conferences or publications

• Experience in regulated industries requiring compliance and security considerations

Other skills that are great to bring with you but that we can help you develop:

• Experience deploying and managing LLMs in production environments with optimal performance and cost efficiency. Includes experience with model hosting, inference optimization, and scaling strategies

• Working knowledge of ML frameworks is a plus: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers

• Expertise with cloud AI platforms: AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI

• Proven experience implementing RAG systems: Vector databases, embedding generation, retrieval strategies

• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration

• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or OpenTofu

• A University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field

• Open-source contributions to AI/ML or blockchain projects

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience in guiding technical teams and driving architectural decisions by communicating plans, options, and architectures
