About the Role

Lead the technical transformation of data into AI-ready assets that power breakthrough discoveries and save lives. You will drive Sanofi's AI-Ready Data framework implementation, leading a specialized engineering team within our Platform Engineering organization. This is your opportunity to architect the data foundation that enables AI-driven drug discovery, clinical innovation, and manufacturing excellence at global scale.

What You'll Do

•
Drive technical implementation of Sanofi's AI-Ready Data framework, ensuring data is well-understood, trusted, secure, accessible, and ready for AI consumption at enterprise scale

•
Lead and mentor a team of Data Quality, Data Governance, and Data Management engineers within the AI Ready Data team

•
Architect automated data preparation systems using cutting-edge AI agents (DataOrion suite) that enable enterprise-wide AI adoption

•
Design end-to-end data pipelines supporting both structured and unstructured data for GenAI and next-generation AI applications

•
Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to accelerate AI innovation, ensuring seamless integration with AI Foundry and data marketplace platforms

•
Champion technical innovation in data & ai engineering, driving measurable outcomes for AI-ready data products

•
Establish real-time data observability and monitoring frameworks ensuring data health across the complete AI lifecycle

What You'll Bring

Must Have:

•
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field (Master's preferred)

•
10+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML engineering, or related technical roles in pharmaceutical/life sciences with 5+ years in technical leadership

•
Deep expertise in cloud data platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data engineering tools

•
Strong experience with data governance platforms (Informatica CDGC & CDQ, Collibra) and metadata management

•
Proven track record implementing large-scale data transformations in regulated environments

•
Experience with AI/ML data preparation, feature engineering, and production AI system support

•
Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing global technical teams, vendors and driving organizational change

•
Strong communication abilities, translating complex technical concepts for business stakeholders

Nice to Have:

•
Experience with GenAI, Large Language Models, and agentic AI systems

•
Knowledge of pharmaceutical R&D, clinical trials, or manufacturing data domains

•
Familiarity with unstructured data processing, NLP, and document AI technologies

•
Understanding of responsible AI principles and AI governance frameworks

•
Experience with real-time streaming, event-driven architectures, and modern data patterns

•
Relevant cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Informatica)
