Are you ready to lead market expansion and drive impactful Artificial Intelligence projects in productive sectors across Chile?

The Applied Artificial Intelligence Unit at Eurecat is seeking a hybrid profile combining business development acumen and technical expertise, to help us establish and grow our presence in Chile. This role bridges client engagement, institutional representation, and AI project leadership, acting as a strategic connector between Chile and Europe. The goal is to identify new opportunities, co-develop solutions with local stakeholders, and support the gradual formation of a local team as opportunities consolidate.

RESPONSABILITIES:

As a key figure in our international deployment strategy, your role will include:

Representing Eurecat in Chile, promoting the adoption of AI technologies in key industry events, technology forums, institutional platforms, and innovation ecosystems.
Market development and opportunity scouting, identifying needs and use cases for applied AI solutions in productive sectors (e.g., manufacturing, energy, logistics, agriculture).
Building strategic relationships with companies, public bodies, innovation clusters, and technology stakeholders.
Designing and preparing proposals (both technical and commercial) aligned with Eurecat’s capacities and technological offerings.
Leading AI projects locally, acting as the main point of contact in Chile and ensuring effective coordination with technical teams based in Europe.

Supporting the growth of a local team, facilitating its development based on validated business opportunities.

Requirements

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in technology business development, consulting, or tech transfer, especially in complex or innovation-driven environments.
Solid understanding of applied AI (e.g., ML, LLMs, computer vision, predictive modeling, time series analytics, agentic AI, etc.) and the ability to identify real-world application potential.
Academic background in technical or business fields, with exposure to AI, data science, or digital innovation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
High degree of autonomy and initiative, with an entrepreneurial mindset and goal-oriented attitude.
Outstanding networking and communication abilities, comfortable navigating both formal and informal environments.
Fluent in Spanish and English. Familiarity with Latin American business culture is a plus.
Willingness to travel occasionally within Chile and/or Europe.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to act as a cultural and operational bridge between international teams.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Minimum Required Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic or Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics, Information Technology or Data Science, Business Administration with a specialization or experience in technology and innovation

Highly Valued Complementary Education:

Master’s degree or postgraduate studies in: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Deep Learning, Data Science or Big Data Analytics,
Specialized training in: Generative AI / Large Language Models (LLMs), Predictive Modeling and Forecasting, Time Series Analytics, AI Development Platforms and technological stacks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

The combination of “tech & business” skills is essential, we’re looking for someone who can translate complex AI technologies into real world value propositions for industry clients.

English: Full professional proficiency, especially in technical and business contexts

EXPERIENCE:

Core Experience (must have):

Technology Business Development:
Proven experience identifying, generating, and managing technology driven opportunities, especially in B2B or public-private settings.
Experience working with or selling applied AI or data-driven solutions (even if not deeply technical).
Track record of interfacing with clients, understanding business needs, and shaping them into solution proposals or projects.
Familiarity with Latam business culture and public-private innovation ecosystems (e.g., CORFO, regional clusters, sectorial innovation platforms) is a strong plus.
AI/ML Application Experience
Experience contributing to or leading AI/data science projects in real-world applications: Applied machine learning, NLP, Predictive maintenance, optimization, forecasting, etc.
Experience does not have to be in coding/development per se, but must reflect understanding of the AI lifecycle (problem framing, data, modeling, evaluation, deployment) and ability to evaluate AI feasibility and communicate AI value to clients.
Project and Stakeholder Management
Experience acting as a project manager or technical coordinator, ideally for R&D or consulting projects.
Ability to manage international, multidisciplinary teams, possibly distributed across time zones.
Exposure to European frameworks (e.g., Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, EITs) or collaboration with European institutions is a big asset.
