About the AI Product Lead Role

As the Lead of AI Productization on the KAIML team, you will lead the transformation of AI prototypes into scalable, secure, production-grade tools that power Keystone’s litigation, regulatory, investigative, and strategic advisory work.

This role sits at the center of product, engineering, and delivery.

Forward Deployed AI Engineers will continue to develop high-impact prototypes in close collaboration with client teams. Your mandate is to turn those prototypes into durable internal and client-facing products establishing standards, defining roadmaps, managing engineering execution, and ensuring high-quality, predictable delivery.

You will lead a team of AI Product Engineers and partner closely with platform architects to ensure architectural integrity, scalability, and long-term maintainability while keeping product velocity high.

This is a hybrid leadership role: part product owner, part engineering leader, part operational architect.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Roadmap Ownership

• Own the productization roadmap for K.AIML AI tools

• Translate prototypes and stakeholder requests into clear requirements and scoped engineering plans

• Prioritize features and technical investments based on business impact, reliability, and scalability

• Balance speed vs. durability in a consulting-driven environment

Engineering Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and develop a team of AI Product Engineers

• Establish clear engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, observability, and deployment

• Implement structured sprint planning, estimation, and delivery tracking

• Oversee release management, beta testing, rollout planning, and production support

• Triage and prioritize incoming feature requests and bugs

Systems & Scalability

• Partner with platform architects to ensure production systems meet standards for performance, security, and reliability

• Ensure AI/LLM systems move beyond proof-of-concept to robust, maintainable applications

• Establish processes for monitoring, evaluation, and iterative improvement of AI-powered tools

• Continuously evolve tooling, workflows, and system design to support scale

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the primary bridge between Forward Deployed Engineers, architects, practice leaders, and stakeholders

• Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous, high-stakes initiatives

What You’ll Bring

• We are looking for a technical product leader with strong delivery instincts and engineering fluency

• You may come from an engineering management, solution architecture, or technical product background

• 8+ years of experience in technical product, engineering, or solution leadership roles

• Experience delivering complex technical systems from concept through production

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing technical contributors

• Strong understanding of modern application architecture (APIs, databases, backend systems, cloud infrastructure)

• Experience managing roadmaps, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment

• Demonstrated ability to operationalize prototypes into reliable, production-grade systems

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with AI/ML or LLM-powered systems in production

• Experience in data-intensive or analytics-heavy environments

• Experience operating in consulting, advisory, or fast-paced stakeholder environments

• Experience instituting SDLC standards and delivery rigor

In addition to annual salary, we provide annual 401k contributions and competitive benefits package. Actual Compensation within the range will depend upon the level the individual is hired into based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.

Annual Salary Range
$186,000—$221,905 USD
