About the job:
Description
We are looking for an AI-native QA specialist to join one of the leading software companies within our portfolio. Our platform powers mission-critical workflows for organizations that depend on it every day, and we are actively expanding it through AI capabilities and new software products. As development velocity increases, we are investing in modern, automation-first testing systems that allow our engineering team to move quickly while maintaining reliability. This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to help build those systems. You will work across both an established production platform and new AI-enabled products, focusing on expanding automated testing and improving how quality is managed across the platform. We are especially interested in people who are curious, ambitious, and enjoy experimenting with tools. The strongest candidates naturally automate repetitive work, explore AI tools, build scripts or side projects, and look for ways to improve systems rather than simply executing test cases.
You will work closely with engineers across the team, including a senior engineer who has built and scaled production systems. As the engineering team grows, there will be opportunities to take increasing ownership over our testing infrastructure and help shape how quality and automation are approached. This is a profitable, stable company with real customers and real production systems. The company operates within Lighthouse Software Group, part of Valsoft, a global group of vertical market software businesses with more than 130 companies and 4,000 employees across 20+ countries.

• Work with engineers early in development to ensure features are testable
• Integrate tests into CI and CD pipelines so quality checks run automatically
AI-Assisted Testing
• Use AI tools to generate edge cases and testing scenarios
• Help validate AI-powered features and workflows
• Experiment with AI-assisted approaches to testing and automation
Exploratory Testing
• Automation is the priority, but human insight still matters.
• Performing exploratory testing on new features
• Investigating edge cases where automated coverage does not yet exist
• Identifying recurring issues and quality risks
Support Platform Stability
• Help maintain confidence in the existing production platform
• Surface regressions early and collaborate with engineers on fixes
• Identify gaps in test coverage and help prioritize improvements
Requirements:
• 2 to 4 years of experience in QA, testing, or software development
• Experience working with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
• Familiarity with CI and CD pipelines and automated testing workflows
• Basic understanding of APIs and application architecture
• Comfort working closely with engineering teams
• Experience with JavaScript, React, PHP, or similar technologies is helpful but not required.
• We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate curiosity and initiative, such as building automation scripts, experimenting with AI tools, or creating personal technical projects.
