We are looking for a strong HPC & AI Kernel Architect who combines deep technical expertise across hardware and software with proven leadership ability. This role is ideal for someone who wants to drive performance innovation across CPU/GPU/ASIC architectures while leading a small, high-impact technical team based in Taiwan.

This role is remote, based out of North America

Who You Are

• A senior expert with deep understanding of HPC, AI kernels, and accelerator architectures.

• A hands-on architect who can dive deeply into performance, modeling, and kernel design.

• A collaborative leader who can guide engineers across US and Taiwan locations.

• Someone who thrives in technically demanding, fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

What We Need

• 15+ years of experience in high-performance computing, spanning both software and hardware.

• 5+ years writing, optimizing, and maintaining AI compute kernels.

• Strong experience profiling and optimizing kernels for GPU, CPU, and/or custom ASIC accelerators.

• Proven experience influencing HW architectural changes to improve performance, power, and area.

• Experience working with performance-modeling teams using roofline and cycle-accurate simulators.

• Ability and desire to act as both IC and Technical Lead Manager.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
