AI Integration Engineer

About You

We are looking for an AI Integration Engineer to support the integration and validation of AI-powered capabilities within a video streaming platform designed for enterprise content creators.

This role focuses on integrating AI outputs with backend services, video pipelines, and external platforms, ensuring that AI-driven insights can be reliably delivered within the product. The engineer will work on connecting data pipelines, handling video and metadata processing, and enabling intelligent features such as sentiment analysis and audience engagement insights from live and recorded content.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can quickly understand complex systems, work across backend services and AI pipelines, and validate technical assumptions to ensure the platform can support new integrations without requiring architectural restructuring.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Strong backend development experience using Python, particularly for integrations, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience integrating AI or Machine Learning services into applications (e.g., inference APIs, model outputs, metadata pipelines, embeddings).
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience working with data processing systems or analytical databases such as BigQuery or similar tools.
• Familiarity with video streaming technologies, video encoding, or media processing tools (e.g., WebRTC, FFmpeg, streaming pipelines).
• Experience working with event-based or time-based metadata, including timestamps or timeline data.
• Experience integrating multiple systems, APIs, or external platforms through backend services or automated workflows.
• Experience building or contributing to AI-related projects or prototypes.
• Ability to analyze architecture diagrams, schemas, dependencies, and integration points within existing systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to validate technical assumptions and confirm implementation feasibility.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency, as you will work directly with US-based clients.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Integrate AI and machine learning outputs into backend services and product features.
• Build and maintain pipelines that ingest video content and prepare it for AI processing.
• Process and integrate AI-generated metadata such as timestamps, highlights, and sentiment insights.
• Support integrations between video streaming data, live interactions, and AI analysis systems.
• Adapt incoming video formats and encoding to ensure compatibility with AI processing pipelines.
• Connect external platforms and content sources through APIs and automated workflows.
• Design and implement integration layers between AI services, video pipelines, and application components.
• Analyze platform architecture and data flows to validate integration feasibility.
• Review system dependencies, datasets, and permissions to ensure reliable integrations.
• Produce technical assessments to determine whether the platform can support new AI integrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure AI insights are correctly surfaced in the product experience.
• Support product demonstrations, prototypes, and iterative improvements as new use cases emerge.
