About the Role ✨

You are a product-driven software engineer excited to work on applied AI during your upcoming internship! You’ll join the AI Products team at Snackpass, building features that bring machine learning and intelligent automation to restaurants and small businesses.

Working in a fast-paced startup environment alongside talented engineers, you’ll gain hands-on experience with modern AI applications and product development in a short time.

What We’re Looking For

• Student pursuing or achieving a BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.

• Alignment with our values: hungry and humble.

• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript (experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or modern JS libraries a plus).

• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

• Interest in applying LLMs, NLP, or recommender systems to real-world problems.

• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to accelerate development.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Bonus: contributions to open source projects, or past work beyond coursework.

At Snackpass, You Will:

• Build and ship features as part of the AI Products engineering team.

• Work on projects that may include: application UX, AI-driven logic, data pipelines, or partner integrations.

• Use our tech stack, which includes React.js, Node.js (+Typescript), MongoDB, and modern ML frameworks.

• Write and maintain high-quality tests (unit and end-to-end) for your features.

• Contribute to evolving our internal AI tools and engineering processes as we scale.

Details:

• Start date: October or January (flexible based on your schedule)

• Duration: 10–12+ weeks

• 20+ Hours a week

• On-site in New York City (NOHO)
