AI Engineer – Python, GenAI & Machine Learning (m/f)

Job Description & Summary

Join PwC Slovakia as an AI Engineer, where you will lead and contribute to AI and data science solutions for leading global clients. This role is designed for experienced developers and engineers who want to architect, build, and deploy machine learning systems and data-driven applications at scale. We are looking for candidates who are strong in Python, confident working with data, and capable of turning complex business challenges into reliable, production-ready AI solutions — while engaging directly with clients across Western Europe and the USA.

Projects you could be involved in:

• Natural Language Data Exploration: Develop dashboards powered by GenAI for intuitive business data analysis.

• Document Interaction: Design tools enabling seamless interaction with unstructured and structured text documents.

• Knowledge Assistant: Implement ERP transformation with GenAI tools to resolve employee inquiries efficiently.

• Agricultural Monitoring: Utilize Computer Vision for analyzing satellite imagery on a large scale.

• Automated Reconciliation: Create systems to identify anomalous transactions in accounting ledgers.

Key responsibilities:

• AI Solution Development: Innovate and develop cutting-edge AI and ML solutions with a strong focus on Python-based implementation, spanning areas such as generative AI, classical machine learning, computer vision, and data analysis.

• Project Involvement: Engage actively in AI and data science projects from conception to deployment, contributing to solution design and codebase while ensuring timely delivery.

• Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients across Western Europe and the USA, understanding their needs and providing expert guidance and tailored solutions.

• Learning & Development: Stay at the forefront of AI and data science trends, learning new approaches, and contributing to improvements of existing solutions and processes.

• Mentorship: Support the growth of junior team members by sharing knowledge and guiding them in project involvement and technical skills.

Who We're Looking For:

• Programming Skills (Key Requirement): Solid programming skills in Python (e.g. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, plotly). Ability to write and understand code is essential. Experience with other programming languages is a plus.

• AI/ML Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience in projects involving Generative AI, NLP, Computer Vision, or ML model development and deployment. The focus is on building and implementing solutions, not only using AI tools. Strong foundations in statistics and ML fundamentals are valued.

• Professional Background: At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

• Database Expertise: Proficient in SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL databases is an advantage.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach problems logically and creatively.

• Independence & Leadership: Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results independently while guiding project components and mentoring others.

• Language Skills: English at B2 level or higher.

Additional Information:

Salary: From 2200 EUR/month
(For candidates with many years of experience, the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority.)
